Advice on adopting 6 month old Yorkie Well its finally the year I am a adopting a yorkie! I can hardly believe it's happening it's been years I've been searching and waiting for just the right time.
So I guess I always thought I would get a little puppy and have the fun if watching it go through all the stages of coming into an adult. Well I bit the bullet today and out down a deposit on a 5 and 1/2 month old pup. I haven't quite decided on the girl or boy ( any input is welcome!)
They are peeped trained which is great and very well mannered, they don't jump up or bark at people other than when playing with each other here and there which is fantastic. However they didnt seem very intetested in me at all so there was no magic "click" between us that I've always imagined ... haha is that a thing? In fact they didn't seem interested in me at all more so just in playing with each other and the other humans in the house. So I suppose it just seemed like someone else's dog.
My question being, given that these 2 pups live with another family house hold and each other and they are 6 months old, will it be difficult to bond, and will they be quite sad to be separated from the family but even more so each other? Is it normal that they were so uninterested in me? Side note she brought them back from the Ukraine, beautiful pups. I will post a photo. Thanks for any input, ladies! |
