I just wanted to welcome you to Yorkie Talk. Poodles sure are different than Yorkies for sure. I always had them as pets. A harness would be the best for a Yorkshire over a collar. They can have collapsed tracheas and so a harness would not cause a strain on their throat. Best of luck with now owning a Yorkie and thank you for adopting and giving a better life to your new baby.
