Thank you all, Gabey suffered from a fused neck disc which was painful and with all the other complications, he wouldn't eat, 5 days without food, struggling to walk, but still trying to keep up with his routines. Such a little independent guy til the end. The vet and we knew we had done everything to keep him going and it wasn't fair to him. It was the most difficult decision to make. Never an advocate of mercy killings, which this was, we fought the Christian moral conflict. For 14 years he trusted us and we put him to sleep knowing that he trusted our decision. God, what pain.
