Two years ago I decided to get another Yorkie but would NOT get another male. I didn't want to even think about replacing him--just getting another Yorkie. I bought Gidget from a breeder in March 2016. She'll never be another Teddy but she is the love of my life. We go everywhere together and she is so sweet but a completely different temperament than Teddy. It means there is no time when I can compare her behavior or actions. It's just the two of us and she's my little snuggle bunny. She knows when I need some extra comfort and she gives it to me. Teddy will always have a place in my heart and now I have two places that are full. Given time I hope you can find a place in your heart forf another Yorkie. They're so special!
When I decided I wanted another Yorkie, I went on the web site to our Huma
Society. I too am in my mid-70's but in excellent health. In fact my grown children tell me I'm in better health than any of them. Anyway, I filled out the application to get a little 4 yo female Yorkie. I got a letter in the mail saying they didn't adopt any pets to anyone under 18 and over 70. I was too old! How sad!
