For the sake of the well being of the dog, I hope that would be so. In NY I had to walk my 3 dogs, I would try to walk them where there was no salt but couldn't always avoid it. Poor things would be holding their paws in the air, I would gather all 3 in my arms carry them to the unsalted area then carry all 3 back home, these were not tiny babies lol, one at 9 Lbs, 2 at 13 lol. I always rinsed their paws with warm water to make sure no salt was on their lil paws.
