Thank you for your response & for the articles. You are right they still don't know what causes it. Layla's diagnosis was idiopathic NME. But I will always question why & if I can do anything to protect my new pup I will do so. I will be titer testing for all the other immunizations but they force rabies every three years. I had my first yorkie (Chloe) for 17 years without any problems until the end. She died of renal failure. I never even had her spayed, I just watched her well & she really was not around other dogs. I did take her to the vet but never treated for ticks, fleas etc. So who knows. But the less chemicals the better. |
