SO...I can't help but wonder if he is just losing his puppy coat? Has anyone had this happen? And, how long does it last? |

You may have what is known as a cotton coated Yorkie. Their hair tends to be thicker and shorter. Also, when brushing a Yorkie, a little hair is always likely to get caught in the brush. At 10 months of age, most of the puppy coat should have grown out by now. You may simply be dealing with a Yorkie that has a thicker coat. So long as there are no developing bald patches or skin irritation, this is normal.
