I'll say 6 months. Last June my groomer had a new girl do Cody, the girl cut off part of his top knot to where "she" thought his top knot should begin, it's 8 months now and still to short to fit into his top knot, maybe by June it will be long enough and his hair grows fast.
Emma has quite a bit of hair, I believe in 6 months it will be the length you're looking for.
