What would you want for yourself? My mom recently passed and she had stopped eating and drinking for the most part. We knew she was dying (cancer) yet we kept trying to get her to drink. She was not getting IV because it would just prolong the inevitable. We wanted her to drink sooo badly, but then my brother and I realized...WHY? Why are we doing this? She wasn’t going to get better....we were trying to keep her for US. She tried to cooperate for US. What about her? Do the right thing for your baby, even if it is hard for you. Will the IV give her quality of life? Or just prolong suffering? I dread the day I have to face this with my precious puppy baby. I feel so bad for you having to make these choices. |
