Enzyme clean the rug . Move pad close to the door or somewhere that’s not that close or the rug so he doesn’t get confused .

Your puppy is still young and training should be positive . Reduce access to areas. Consider CRATE training or an Ex Pen . Your floors will thank you .

I’m an advocate for crate to outdoor training bc I learned that with carpets and puppy pads it just doesn’t work and too many accidents happen . But that’s me and I know some people prefer them but to reduce some of that potty training frustration consider moving the pads .

Consistency is important. Pick a method , get a schedule and you’ll be golden in a few months .
