And hair dye for dogs is not my cup of tea at all. However, it can be done safely using pet-safe hair dyes and/or using a professional groomer.
For Taylor, who is considering a very temporary washable hair dye just to get a blue mohawk for a photo, I did a little more reading on pet-safe hair chalk, and if you use the water-soluble chalks, they wash out right away, so you could apply it just before your regular dog bath, take a photo, and wash it out right away. Petsmart does hair chalking. I've attached a couple of photos describing the process and a photo of a hair chalked dog. |
I googled Yorkie mohawk hair color and found a Yorkie with a blue mohawk. Photo attached.
