I suppose we should be thankful that PLN and PLE are less of a problem in Yorkies. Still, I hope that research continues, and that tests are developed for these and other genetic diseases for the sake of the next generation of Yorkshire Terriers as well as other dog breeds.
Actually PLE is very common in yorkies. The specialist I use was thinking about doing a study a couple of years ago and asked about using Cookie. Last I spoke with him, it was on the back burner.
