Actually most vets don't just recommend that you get shots for money. It saddens me that I'm guessing you came across one of those. I would take what news media says lightly. I prefer to follow what the vet associations say. I have taken many classes and gone over vaccinations. Science it what I prefer to go by. I would rather they be vaccinated instead of my getting something that could kill them. They know which two strands of the the dog flu are causing the issues so they vaccinate for those. I have a 10 almost 11 year old with Cushings who has a low immune system and the dog flu could kill her so I would rather not take that chance. When there is something that can kill your dog its better to vaccinate and not play with luck. I wont get into human vaccines except to say that because people aren't vaccinating their kids we now have many illness that we had eradicated and many children
are dying because of it. Vaccines are extremely important.
