She was the first vet who really seemed to understand the unique health needs of small pups like Yorkies. First time ever that I didn't have to argue about not wanting the lepto shot. In fact she said she doesn't recommend giving it to any dog under 10 pounds so in short she has my trust.
We discussed my concerns about Sophie. She said that there is certainly a possibility that she is blue born and may develop colour dilution alopecia but that it's by no means a death sentence if confirmed. She said that the genes may never express themselves and that if they do the likely hood of serious health issues is slim. She in fact has three dogs in her clinic that have CDA and the major issue is related to skin. Sensitivity to sunlight is the biggest concern. She is very curious to see the results of the test.
So the vet is fantastic, well educated regarding this health issue and I am confident that Sophie if confirmed will receive excellent care. I will let you all know when I finally get the test and the results |

Congratulations on finding a great vet! We're all anxious to hear the results as well.
