 Using her bed as a potty pad
In October Daisy, then 11 months old, joined our family. I dont know a great deal about her life before she came to be with us. She goes potty outside and uses potty pads inside. Daisy has a crate but doesn’t really use it, she sleeps with my husband and me. Her crate does have a pink pad inside and I just realized she has been using the pink pad/ bed like a potty pad. Like, she will go into her crate just to use it to go potty. We also bought her a dog bed and she has wet that as well. I’m confused on why she would use any type of dog bed/crate pad like a potty pad. As I said she sleeps with us and hasn’t wet our bed and she has a favorite throw pillow on our couch she loves to lay on and she has never tried to go potty on that. Any suggestions on helping her break the habit of using a dog bed for her potty pad? We are getting a new Yorkie puppy this weekend and I would like him to be able to use a dog bed if he’d like and also not pick up with habit. |
