Sad Small puppy problems

Our little Bones is 12 weeks old and pushing 1.5 pounds. I fell in love with him as soon as I laid my eyes on him, but it wasn’t for his small size. Having a really small puppy or dog comes with BIG responsibilities. He is constantly under your feet, so we’re constantly worrying about stepping on him. Just a moment ago he jumped off of my lap, out of a dead sleep, and rolled across the floor. Instantly he started weeping and ran under the table. I of course screamed and ran after him. I inspected him and he immediately started playing like nothing happened, so I think it just scared him. Ugh. I will always have a sense of worry over him being so small. It blows my mind how people purposely purchase these overly small “micro” dogs...... Being small is cute but it’s so important to make sure they’re always safe and not in harms way.
