Xylitol is not a bad ingredient for humans but I wouldn't take the chance of having it my home full of four legged family members.
Splenda doesn’t harm them either if accidentally eaten and it’s one of the eassier ones to use because you use the same amount that you would of sugar. That’s what we use here.
