I have a cairn and two yorkies Actually a dad and daughter they are a little bigger at 8 and 11 pounds They are not fans of the grandkids. So I put them away when the kids are here just for safety for both the kids and dogs. Now the cairn loves the kids and plays with them. The grandkids also live with dogs but not as small as the yorkies. I got my cairn after I lost my first yorkie didn't think I could have another yorkie due to all the great memories But after two years yorkie less I had to have one again. They are great dogs as is the cairn.
