Not sure how helpful this is, but here's a video I posted a year ago of when I groomed Scottie.

These days, I've been bathing him with shampoo only, then towel dry, and using a diluted leave on conditioner while combing out his hair. Because his hair is so long, by the time I'm done his hair is all dry.
