For mine, I got her when she was 11 weeks old. She was pee pad trained. I noticed that she went every hour or two depending on how active she was. Back then, she needed pee breaks with her sleep as well .. every 4 hours I think.
I decided to hold off on potty training outside since I want her to fully get pee pad usage. I ended up getting an xpen for her and left a pad for her. Back then I came back home every four hours and there would be 1-2 pee spots on the pad.
At 4 months, I trained her to potty outside. With lots of positive reinforcement, she now prefers going outside.
Now at 9.5 months I leave her 6 to 10 hours on workdays with freedom to explore the main floor. I leave her xpen open now but leave a pad there just in case. No accidents so far! |
