Default Considering Yorkie pups

Hello! New here today.

Lost my Cairn terrier last fall. He was 15+ when he died of renal failure. I really miss him so looking at yorkies - mostly for portability. I have found a reputable AKC registered breeder that I’m working with. Considering a brother - sister pair. These are charting to be small at 3.5 lbs. Our kids are grown and the house is too quiet without a dog. I watch my 2 grandchildren a couple days a week. They have or have had dogs. My only concern is that the yorkies are so small. I’d pen them when the kids are here until they are used to them. I just can’t get another Cairn - great dogs but it’s just a thing i can’t explain - too many memories. Had a collie before the Cairn. Should I be concerned about owning such a small dog? Pedigree is immaculate. No shunting, no eye or teeth problems and all others from this breeder are in excellent health. Just worried they be under foot and could get hurt. We want to travel and take them along on planes. No more than twice a year.
