Cry New Puppy after my sweet baby died.

I woke up to find my 2.5 year old Yorkie, Zoe, deceased. She had a small liver. We thought it was being controlled by food. She had no symptoms exempt the last two days of her life which vet attributed to an upset stomach. I am terrified of getting the replacement dog that the breeder gave me (she had a health guarantee for genetic illnesses) even though he is healthy and ready for a family. I can't stand the silence and empty arms. I have no kids. My husband is devastated but hates the silence. Anyone have any advice? The vet says this pup looks fine but we will do bile test at 16 weeks. This dog is not related to Zoe. Any advice?
