Good to know the collapsed trachea is worse when sleeping. I didn't know that and that's one of the reasons I felt this may be a misdiagnosis. My other dogs with CT only had issues when very active or excited.
I just read about the torn chordae tendonae and they did listen for murmur and said her heart sounded good. From what I read on Google it seems unlikely :/ She has never coughed before this started a couple days ago so I wonder if it shows up on xray in the very early stages?
The vet also had two other vets check the xray to confirm the CT so it makes me think it wasn't a clear yes to her.
