Don't worry I still appreciate the advice. I did a search online about tick removal and found that they recommend not burningthe tick off of dogs and cats as it can cause the tick to release more of the disease filled saliva and does not make them back out despite what most people think. My hubby wanted to do that but I'm glad I read on it before we tried to remove it with a flame. The head did come out with the body for us though so I'm not too worried about it this time.
