Collapsed trachea often is worse at night when they are sleeping. I believe it is due to positioning and pressure on the trachea. Every single CT pup I have had was different in terms of symptoms and meds that worked or did not work.
You say there was an xray done .... so I am assuming the heart looked ok? White foam can indicate CHF....or a terrible condition: torn chordae tendonae. If he is having a lot of these symptoms, I would go back to the vet OR seek a second opinion.
You should call your vet anyway if the Hycodan isn't giving relief because the more they cough, the more irriation and you want to try to tamp that down. |
