Default Coughing

Hi my 17 year old dog has started coughing. We are on our 3rd day. The first 2 nights it happened in the middle of the night for about 2 hours then she stopped and never made another peep until the following night again for about 2 hours. Yesterday it happened once in the middle of the day. We went to the vet exam and xrays The vet felt it was collapsed trachea. Gave her an antibiotic shot and hycodan to give her when she is coughing. I gave it to her this morning and it didn't help at all. I've had 2 other dogs of collapsed trachea and this seems different than how theirs was which i know can happen from dog to dog. I read a bunch online last night and it sounds like most dogs have when they get excited as my other 2 did. I think that it's odd that she's having it when she's at her calmest like sleeping. She is also having a white foamy substance come out each cough which my other 2 never did. I'm just curious as to what anybody else's thoughts may be from watching the video or their experience with their dogs that may be similar.
