As long as there is not pulling on the collar or hooking a leash to it just wearing a collar with not effect the trachea at all. My moms yorkie and my yorkie both who had and have CT wear collars and there is no issues. My other two wear collars and don't have CT. Collars are not necessarily the cause of CT weak trachea cartilage is.
