My baby went in for her mastectomy on the 2 lower right mammary areas. The top one came out benign while the bottom came out to be adenocarcinoma with a mitotic count of 2. My vet believes we got the entire lump out but the margins are pretty narrow (1.99mm deep and 2.64mm laterally) with no vascular invasion. I'm just worried since the margins are so narrow. The lump itself was no less than 2 cm. Do you think I should consider another surgery to get wider margins? I just don't want to put my baby through so much...

Aside from that, she's recovering well from her surgery and is ever the joy in my heart.

Please does anyone have experience with this? I'm hopeful but devastated.
