I have a pen where mom can get out of the whelping box and lay in a separate bed anytime she wants..as a rule they stay in with the pups the first 3 or 5 days..then get out and sleep in their own bed next to the pups..of course the least little squeak sends them back to the pups for a check..give mom some free time to go out and run around from the start..good for them.

May I ask where is Midland?
