The price seems a little high but Oregon may be different than Tennessee. Cleanings and extractions around here is less than 200 almost anywhere. Our little max underwent dental cleanings around every 2 years. He actually had to have teeth extracted every time. Over the coarse of ten years he only had 6 left. He managed well though. His little tongue would hang out on one side a little bit after he lost the last few bottoms. He was cute. We kept his vet check ups regularly but that didn't prevent him from losing his teeth. Our vet said it was in genetics. I've always wondered about the tube going down their little throats though. MAx developed a cough a few years back and eventually was diagnosed with collapsed trachea The two may not be related but I'd probably discuss it with your vet what the negatives are. Good luck and merry Christmas
