Default First Dental Cleaning

Hi all!

I’m super nervous about taking my girl, Ari, to her first dental cleaning. She’s 3 years old and only 3 pounds so the thought of putting her under makes me worry a ton (I’m sure you can relate ^_^ since we all worry about our babes).

Cost is an issue too, so I’ve been weighing my options. Her current vet has a starting price of $400 and uses propofol and sevoflourine (I may not be spelling these right).

There is a veterinary dental clinic about 20 min away that quoted me $219 - but they use Ace and Torb, Propofol, and medicam if needed for pain.

There is a loose tooth that needs to be extracted too, so the costs will actually be higher. But I also worry about her reactions to the different anesthetics. Do you guys have any experiences with your Yorkies reacting best to one?
