It sounds like your yorkie is very over protective of you if he was going to nip at your son! Is your son mean to him that you know of? Maybe your son needs to bond with him, let your son take him out on walks, give him treats, brush him, etc...
My Kloey is MY dog, but she will sit on my kids lap and my hubby's, but if I'm in the room she is with me. When we went to pick Kloey up I was the first one to hold her, I held her for 3 hours in the car to bring her home, so we bonded imediently.



My son is VERY gentle and loving with her. It is only my son and I at our house. He has been involved with her since she was a baby. Granted, I do the majority of feeding and taking care of her, but he plays with her a lot as well. I am just at a loss on how to stop this. I am going to try and have him feed her, and maybe brush her. Hopefully she can take the hint and start being the nice girl I know she can be!!! Thanks for your thoughts- I appreciate it!!
