 Question about male with prostate enlarged
I’m new to the forum but have had a Yorkie male for 11years. He is unaltered and has had one litter with my mom’s female before she was spayed. His prostrate has become enlarged and the vet has recommended neutering him to avoid health problems. I would love a puppy from him before we consider this surgery. He is AKC and CKC registered and I have his pedigree-he has two champions on his sire’s side. I am not interested in starting a breeding program. His temperament is sweet and mild. Has anyone any experience with prostate enlargement? What health risks are there? Also, any suggestions for me to find a female? I’m not interested in stud fees-just a healthy puppy. We live in Ohio.
