Welcome to YT. Don't breed if you are not and experienced breeder, you could end up losing your girl and entire litter. Breeding is not throwing any ole male yorkie in with your female and bingo you get puppies. Breeding is all about breeding to better the breed. You have to check back several generations on both your girl and the male to ensure there are no genetic defects that will be passed on to a litter of puppies. No female under 5 pounds should be bred and can be very dangerous.
Yes some ppl feel waiting until a female has her first heat then spaying gives more time for growth plates to close. I followed my vets advise with all my girls, spayed before first heat, they were appox. 6 months old. Spaying before first heat ensures there will never be mammary gland tumors, and she will not get pyometra which can be fatal.
Listen to your vet, spay now, leave breeding up to the experts PLEASE. Love that little girl, spoil her rotten and just keep her as a pet only.
