I recently lost my best bud and now feeling so empty. Last year I lost my husband who also passed.
Skippy was a clown who always knew what buttons to push and then look at me with that special "smile" that Yorkies seem to have. He was a Christmas present to me from my husband when he was just 3 weeks old.
Skippy was my reason to get out of bed each morning after my husband passed and was my comforter. He was active until the very end meaning that morning, we went on our usual morning mile walk. Had to chase the bunnies, bark at the mail truck every day and frolick with my neighbors lab dog.
Then totally unexpected, he went down and had to rush him to the vet. Being a senior, there was no way I could help him any longer and had to make the decision to send him to the Rainbow Bridge. He was very alert (but in pain) until they helped him relax. I almost feel like I killed my baby!!!
I so miss my bud. I have his ashes on my fireplace mantel right next to my husband's and hoping they are once again playing and napping together.
I miss you Skippy!!
