Some pups just like to chew on humans and we're continuing to work on this with any and all toys or dog chews that I can find. She is now 8 months old and still tries to play-bite my fingers and we are still working on it.
Good luck, TrishB13. Let me know if you find out how to get them over this, I will continue to follow this thread. |
She said her puppy is 10 weeks old and they should not leave Mom until 12 weeks therefore the puppy left Mom to early. Biting is a bigger issue when puppies leave Mom to early. In some cases the breeder forces weening and separates Mom and puppies so that could have been the issue with your pup or maybe non consistent when dealing with it. Moms teach the puppies bite inhibition between 10-12 weeks old. It’s very important you not use your hands as toys to play with them and many people do that without realizing it and that what creates the biggest problem. There also is a big difference between play biting and regular biting.
