It happened to my son and daugher in law's dachshund when she was 13. One day she lost her eyesight and was running into things and getting stuck in corners. The vet suspected a brain lesion and put her on prednisone. It helped immediately! She lived another (approx) 7 months. I would think that all of the vets you have gone to would know if this was a possibility for this pup....but, one never can assume. Might be worth just calling the vet and asking.

In Dixie's case, they didn't do further testing because it would have been an MRI which is crazy to do in an older pup especially in a case where you probably would not do anything such as surgery.

One of my pups last year developed an overnight cataract and lost sight in that eye...but I am thinking if this was the case here, you would have been told.

So sorry you seem to be doing so much and getting no information.
