I don't know.....I think if it were me, I might rather be dealing with a liver shunt as it can be repaired. With her symptoms, my guess is that it is likely a shunt. Of course, even if it is, they do still have some mild MVD after....but I have one and he is just fine. He was diagnosed at a much older age. Here is his thread if you might find it helpful:
