Hair grows back. Emma is in long coat, I don't brush her out like I should and I pay for it because she gets a few matts and then I cut them out. Luckily they are usually underneath and you can't tell I cut a huge chunk out but I'm saying that to say Long coat requires some work. Puppy cuts are cute and are a perfectly nice option.
Our Troy was kept short and it worked just fine. I think because Emma is female and her coat is so silky I love the longer coat on her. So I make it work.
