I really don't understand some of you impatient people. These are little dogs, just like human babies they take time to train. I have heard that they don't really even have any control over their bladders until about 3 -4 mos. Yes you take them outside and teach them this is where they pee but good luck!

You have to take them outside regularly every hour or so until they start realizing this is where they go. I live in North Dakota so don't give me that too cold stuff. Animals adapt. Yes, winter is not the best time to bring home a puppy, I have done that and it is very cold standing out there with them until they start to 'get it'. We now have a pet door and they can go out whenever...that is a great investment. However you must have a totally fenced, safe place for that too. Even with all of this, there are STILL accidents in the house. I would never spank or yell at them for it. I will however show it to them, in stern voice say we do this 'outside' and then take them out. When you are too harsh all you are doing is telling them they need to be afraid of the wild woman!
