Ok folks. I'm not a doctor or vet, but in my 62 years of raising kids & pets, the last picture with the smaller mark does look to me as if there was some blunt trauma. All the redness was from blood going to the injured site to heal.
Please be very careful with this baby. He's a sweet soul that can't take care of himself. Enough said!!
