My friends yorkie is the same way. When he doesn't want to be picked up, he let's out this blood curling scream........it's hilarious. Nothing is wrong with him because the minute you put him down, he runs behinds his mommy and proceeds to barking at you like his giving you a piece of his mind for picking him up......funny thing is he always stands behind his mommy while doing it...

Hopefully this little one is okay and it's just the start of a quirky habit.
