Bottom line IMHO is things will remain the same. There ARE reputable breeders and people who really care will seek them out.
The major problem with our society is people are gullible and fall for the most idiotic marketing and pay ridiculous prices for dogs that are not even standard.
It is just that people want what they want...and don't care or even THINK about how the poor animals are bred and whether or not they are healthy.
People have been trying for years to educate the public and it falls on deaf ears. Not all thank God...but, as long as there are people who will pay, there will be greedy breeders who will fulfill that want. |
