Before being allowed to enter a conformation show, proof of soundness and health should be required for all dogs and bitches. There are two major problems that I see, but there are probably more....
1) It would increase the cost of showing tremendously and discourage many up and coming exhibitors from entering the show ring
2) Because conformation shows are so political, it would be hard to find non-biased veterinarians to do the vetting. |
