For my girl, she has a few sleeping areas that she'll switch up during the night
What I do is leave my door cracked open and she'll either sleep in her soft dog house or at the doorway. With the door opened, she'll sometimes go sleep in the hall or at her other sleeping spots. The only disturbance is when she decides to wake people up (mostly me) or if she wants to sleep with my mother on the futon and then she'll try to wake her up so she could get up there (I'm thinking to make or get a ramp so she can get up or down herself). But yours might be like mine, her "toss and turning" is switching sleep locations.
