Thank you everybody. The brushing definitely helps. He has bad teeth genetically for sure. We have been on top of it since he was a pup and he still needs dental work just less often because of the routine brushing. I think the fact that he's on canned prescription food due to his pancreatitis isn't helping either but it's the only food that he is doing well on.
