Prescription food is made for certain issues and saves dogs lives. It is awesome and I would stay on that. You have to be careful of the people who try to tell you what's good for dogs and what's bad based on ingredients. Health issues and prescription food is a whole different thing that can't be judged the same way. They have vets that work hard on that food.
