I firmly believe all dogs n cats have feelings! How ever maybe to different degrees, kind of like empathy in humans. I cant speak to other mammalians of course - no experience here.

I know when my dogs are tense or worked up or stressed. And to different degrees each of my 3 pack knows this with me. My stoical senior does not react avertly. except he is there always to help me walk. my youngest is the most sensitive folllowed by my yorke. If I am sick it is my yorkie never leaving my bedside right beside me.

They all love praise voice praise and react to negative voice corrections.
