Not familiar with the other food but Royal Canin is stellar food. I think you might not be getting the best information in that area.
How old will your baby be when you get her? I'm hoping she will be at least 12 weeks old when you take her away from her mom/litter.
I agree, it is best to keep her on the food she has been on for a while until she settles in with you.
