Thank you for your kind input. Good to have the experience of others.
I have now added rice and softened ID kibble and stopped the Cerenia and any meds and his one poop today was much better. So it looks like he is getting over what ever ailed him. I hope tonight is poop free also and no early morning calls!
Gradually I will return to his regular hard ID kibble via increasing the amount of softened ID kibble gradually to the rice and canned ID. Certainly he seems hungry and back to his normal feisty self. Yeh!
